What steps can you take while attending college to help you get a public administration job once you graduate?

Im currently in college studying Public Administration, and I'm also open to and highly considering attending graduate school to study PA. I don't want to waste any time before I graduate. I intend on working in Nonprofit management. What should I do while I'm still in school that will help me expand my opportunities/skill level. ANYTHING will be a great help.
