How to not be awkward with guys?

I'm going into highschool next year and i'm going 2 camp for 7 weeks on sunday. my friend has done a lot with guys and shes given me and my friends advice on how 2 get a guy. she said tht in order 2 get a guy u hav 2 get friendly with him. the thing is, i am just an awkward person in general. when i try 2 talk 2 boys i just hav bad body language and dont really say "cool" things. i kind of hav a boy whos a friend at my camp but im even awkward around him. i need 2 know how 2 not be as awkward around boys. my friend also says tht shes an awkward person but she makes her awkwardness into cuteness. i dont really know how 2 do tht... i also think its easier 4 my friend 2 talk 2 boys because shes much more outgoing than i am. im shy. so any advice on how 2 not be as awkward and shy around guys would be great 4 camp and highschool. thanks
