Is it possible to still be friends with someone if she rejects you?

There's this girl and me, who are both15, and we recently made out at a disco. Before the disco we had been talking a lot more than usual, and we both became more friendly to each other. I have a feeling we share mutual feelings about each other, but if I ask her out and I get rejected, I want to know if we could still be friends, despite the awkwardness, all answers would be helpful :)
